A statement from the police added: “During the detention period, this man was further investigated for two rapes on another woman in her 20 s in April and June 2021. In February 2023, the man was warned about sexual crimes in Barnett area in February 2022, which was related to the third victim, who reported the case to the police in July 2022.

We will not take further action on the charges of June, 2021because the relevant act had not come into force at the time of the incident, which we have explained to the complainant and the complainant will continue to be supported by the police. The man’s bail period is until August 2023, and then he is released and will still be subject to further investigation.”
